The next pandemic
Sometime in the future there will be another pandemic. It may be a year from now or ten years from now, but it will happen; and we need to be prepared because the next pandemic could be the one that kills 100 million people.
An Existential Threat
The next pandemic is a threat that is greater than climate change, an asteroid strike, or a nuclear exchange. The threat is real–it’s not a question of “if” but of “when”; and it is likely to happen sooner than later. Current methods of vaccine development cannot prevent the next pandemic from causing millions of deaths.
